A Woodland Christmas Inspired by Robins, Birdsong & Berries

This year for our Christmas window we wanted to revisit the magic of a child’s Christmas. Do you remember playing outside in the garden on Christmas morning? All wrapped up after presents have been opened and enjoyed! Sent out from under your Mum’s feet as her and Dad start preparations early for the feast to come later that day. The scent of Christmas Cake being steamed in the oven, oranges and cinnamon waft out of the kitchen window and become intertwined with the fresh cold air outside. The quintessential Irish robin: drawn by the smell of food and his bold curiosity sings and plays in the garden. This nostalgic woodland Christmas is the atmosphere we have tried to create. Using collected fallen pine branches, birch branches, knotted twiggy wreaths and berries to create a woodland backdrop for the playful robin ribbon and his song. We used streaming lengths of our Bespoke Designs of robins and music, embellished with spools of copper wired ribbon and ruby red organza bows. Cinnamon and oranges tied to garlands to really create those scents from our childhoods. Rusty houses and stars scattered among twinkle lights add a little touch of magic to the scene.
